CY25100ZXI011T or CY25100 is an integrated clock generator, PLL and frequency synthesizer providing many applications with highly accurate and reliable precision clock signals. It has been designed to meet the requirements of various applications, ranging from automotive infotainment, professional audio/video, embedded systems and low-end consumer applications to high-end consumer electronics.The CY25100 is a single-chip clock generator and frequency synthesizer that allows designers to dynamically generate precise clock signals in a wide range of frequencies. The device integrates a phase-locked loop (PLL) to generate multiple output clock signals, which can be programmed to a wide range of frequencies and modulation modes. The device also offers a reference input (REF) and a system input (SYS) to allow for a large number of clock sources and frequency variability.The CY25100 implements an InPhase/QuadPhase (IP/QP) modulation approach that can provide very precise multi-level output clock signals with low frequency and phase noise. The device provides independent control of both the frequency and the modulation of the output clock signals. The combination of the PLL and the IP/QP modulation allows for precise, low-jitter generation of multiple output clock signals with high dynamic range, up to 28MHz.The CY25100 provides two digital outputs for DDR output which can operate up to 533MHz. The output source can be programmable from SYS or from the PLL output. The output clock duty cycle can be adjustable from 50% to 90%, allowing more precise connection requirements for the differential clock output.The CY25100 also provides an I2C/SMBus port for control and status. This can be used to configure the device, as well as to monitor the device synchronization events. The device also provides four interrupts (LOCK, CAL, PLLGO, and PLLRST) that can be used to alert the processor of synchronization events.The CY25100 is suitable for automotive and consumer electronic applications, as well as communication, medical and computing applications. The device has been designed to be integrated into systems operating in ambient temperatures up to 105°C and provide a wide frequency range that runs from 16MHz to 28MHz.
