The CY5674 Ultra-Low Power RF evaluation board is designed for the evaluation of Cypress\' low power, long-range, OOK/FSK transceiver products targeted for the Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) frequency bands. This board is designed as a platform for evaluating Cypress\' low power RF transceivers for applications such as industrial sensor networks, wireless sensor networks, and wireless home and building automation.The CY5674 is a low power, long-range OOK/FSK radio board with an accompanying utility board used for complete evaluation and demonstration of Cypress Wireless transceiver products such as the CYRF6936, CYRF7936, and CYRF7463. The kit is designed with minimal external components to enable easy prototyping and evaluation. The radio board includes a QFN is SparqEE (CYRF6936 and CYRF7463) on the receiver board (CYRF6936). The antenna design also includes a U.FL antenna connector for external antenna connection. The accompanying utility board (CY30006) provides the necessary system components to allow users to set up the evaluation system quickly. The utility board acts as base station to control the radio board.The radio board supports the Cypress ISM/SRD RF modules as well as the long-range OOK/FSK protocols. In addition to the OOK/FSK protocols the board can also be used to evaluate other short-range wireless protocols such as Bluetooth. On the utility board, the base station can be used to control the radio board by sending commands and data to evaluate the RF transceiver’s performance. The base station can also be used for other evaluation with Cypress’ RF transceiver.The CY5674 radio board is designed to enable designers to quickly evaluate and demonstrate Cypress’ low power wireless transceiver products in the ISM/SRD frequency bands. With an in-built antenna, designers can quickly get started and quickly get to the evaluation stage without having to spend time on antenna design. Additionally, the radio board also includes the QFN for the CYRF6936 and CYRF7463 for easy prototyping.An accompanying utility board is included for user to quickly utilize the radio board for evaluation and demonstration purposes. It provides the necessary system components to allow users to set up the evaluation system quickly. The base station on the utility board provides the necessary control to the radio board, allowing users to quickly configure, control, and evaluate Cypress RF transceivers.The CY5674 is designed to enable users to quickly evaluate Cypress’ low power RF transceivers for applications such as industrial sensor networks. It allows users to quickly set up the evaluation system and to evaluate and demonstrate the performance quickly. Additionally, the kit provides an in-built antenna for quick prototyping and a QFN footprint for Cypress’ RF modules for quick evaluation. With all the features, designers can quickly take advantage of the CY5674 in their designs.
