The CYII4SM6600-EVAL is a small, low cost and low power embedded system that supports the basic functions needed to operate on embedded devices. It is an evaluation board that has an integrated sensor array, application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and high speed on-chip Flash memory. It is a complete stand-alone system that can be integrated into embedded systems such as medical and automotive applications.
The CYII4SM6600-EVAL provides a complete evaluation solution for the user by combining a variety of components, including the Cypress ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller MCU, a variety of external sensors and peripherals, and a low-cost industrial grade Flash data storage. All the components are connected to the MCU via a high speed embedded Flash interface, allowing the Cypress microcontroller to control them. For example, the low power ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller can be used to control the data output, power management, and communication with external sensors and other components on the board.
The powerful ARM Coretex-M3 microcontroller makes it possible to monitor and control external devices and processes, thus allowing users to build a comprehensive, intuitive and reliable system. The powerful integrated Flash memory allows for storing up to 128 different files, with the capability to store large amounts of data. The cyclic redundancy check (CRC) embedded in the CYII4SM6600-EVAL offers a reliable method of detecting and protecting data against transmission errors, helping to avoid potential resource wastage.
The CYII4SM6600-EVAL board also brings together a variety of sensors to collect and send data to the MCU, making it an ideal board for sensor based applications. The integrated SmartAA temperature, humidity, light, barometric pressure and magnetic field sensors can measure environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, light intensity, barometric pressure and magnetic field intensity. All the data collected by the sensors can be stored in the Flash memory, allowing users to monitor or control the environment based on the conditions measured.
Furthermore, users can connect up to eight external devices with the on-board 16-bit digital I/O interface, enabling further flexibility in applications. The CYII4SM6600-EVAL also offers comprehensive support for secure communication, so it can be used to establish secure connections between remote locations.
The board also provides a navigation controller that features a wide range of features such as tilt, angle and tilt acceleration sensing, and direction and location sensing.
