CYUSB3KIT-003 is a comprehensive evaluation and demonstration board and kit developed by Cypress Semiconductor Corporation. It is designed to enable the users to evaluate the functionality of Cypress’s EZ-USB FX3 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 controller. It comes bundled with easy to use GUI and APIs, enabling the users to have an in depth access to the FX3 device. The CYUSB3KIT-003 comprises of the FX3 development board for the USB 3.0 controller, user’s guide, API programmer’s guide and the SuperSpeed Explorer Suite™ software application. This kit is an ideal choice for developers to evaluate the capabilities and features of the FX3 device before starting the development of their own projects.The FX3 development board provided in the kit has an onboard FX3 device, external memory, push buttons, switches, LEDs and other support components. It has an USB 3.0 A-type host port which acts as the connector between the PC and the board, while powering it. Further, the board has USB 3.0 B-type downstream receptacle port, which allows the user to connect other USB 3.0 B-type device for testing. It also has USB 2.0 mini-B receptacle port which can be opted as the boot mode of the FX3 device.The application is developer friendly and the APIs provided with the controller helps to facilitate the development. The user interface is quite simple and user-friendly.
