Snap action and limit switches are some of the most common sensing devices. These switches are used to detect the presence or absence of an object, and to trigger multiple operations.

The D2F-FL-A1 is one of the many types of snap action and limit switches available. This switch has a flat, paddle-style actuator, as well as an array of protruding pins that allow it to be securely attached to a frame or other device.

When a force is applied to the actuator, it acts to push the pins outward, thereby compressing them. This movement triggers a mechanical process that results in the switch changing from one state to another.
