Snap Action, Limit Switches D2F-FL30-D3 application field and working principle
D2F-FL30-D3 series limit switches are accessories of industrial automation equipment, widely used in machine tools, printing machinery, semi-conductor processing equipment and other large industrial machinery and automation control systems.
The D2F-FL30-D3 series limit switch is composed of a shell, switch lever and contact block. The switch lever has micro switch, imported dongling lever, as well as its shell cover, which has the characteristics of small size, high accuracy, and convenience.
In detail, the snap action limit switch is designed with a snap action micro switch mounted on a pivoting lever. When the switch is tripped, a quick snap action movement of the lever quickly closes or opens the contacts of the switch, allowing current to pass through the circuit. The limit switch itself is designed with various lever lengths, various contact styles and various actuating forces depending on the application.
Mechanically, the limit switch lever is usually stamped or machined from a suitable metal, or through molded plastic. The limit switch is typically actuated by a mechanical force, such as snap action, lever actuator action, magnetic force, spring force, rotary force, button force, bar force, roller force, and so on.
Electrically, the limit switches are available in many styles of contact formations, including one pole more thrown, normally open, normally closed, break before make, and many others, with a variety of contact material options suitable for each style. The rated current is limited by the type and size of contact- and the maximum electrical ratings depend on conductor speed and the type contact.
The proper selection of limit switch requires the understanding of the application, the switch style and the purpose of the installation. The right selection of limit switches can not only improve the precision and passage rate, but also extend the service life of the product. Notably, if the limit switch is used in an environment of more than 60°C, an explosion-proof limit switch should be used to effectively avoid the fire hazard caused by the spark.
