The D38999/26KC99SN is a series of connectors developed, manufactured, tested, and qualified by the Amphenol Aerospace organization in accordance with mil-spec and industry standards. These connectors are miniature circular connectors designed for military and industrial applications where weight and size are critical factors. With an expansive range of options, the D38999/26KC98SN series provides a simple and cost-effective system for application designs. This series of connectors is popularly used for satellite and space applications, board or box level interconnects, ground vehicle and airframe applications, and field devices or antennas. The D38999/26KC98SN connector is a shell size 26, with keyed, threaded-style couplings and machined aluminum components. The overall design of the connector was made to meet the needs for both vibration and shock. Its rugged, lightweight construction makes it well-suited for a variety of applications. The connector also offers a wide temperature range and can accommodate a wide variety of contacts.The connector has a variety of options to suit any application. It has a variety of contacts, such as solder cup, crimp, crimp-style receptacle, pin, jack, and right angle contacts. Additionally, the connector comes with an optional EMI or RFI shield to protect against electromagnetic and radio interference. Finally, the connector can be ordered in different finishes such as olive drab electroless nickel plating, matte black zinc chromate plating, or electroless nickel with chromate for salt fog environments. The mating of contacts is accomplished by precision threads on both the male and female body threads.
