Limiting switch consists mainly of actuator, contacts and the housing. D4N–2CRE is a type of limit switch which is engineered for detection, monitoring and control applications. With its modular construction, environmental and electrical protection ratings, the D4N–2CRE is one of the most versatile limit switches available on the market today.
The D4N–2CRE is a snap action switch, meaning that when switch is being actuated, the contacts move very quickly from one position to another. This type of limit switch produces a very sharp switch action that is easy to detect and identify. The snap action mechanism of the D4N–2CRE provides reliable switching performance and a long life expectancy.
The D4N–2CRE has two models: the SPST-NO and the SPDT. The SPST-NO (Single Pole Single Throw–Normally Open) model is typically used for simple on–off applications. The SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) model is able to control two circuits. It has two contacts in one housing. One contact, as with the SPST-NO model, would remain open until switch is actuated while the other contact would be closed when the switch is released.
The D4N–2CRE is designed to be highly reliable with its rugged construction. It features a corrosion-resistant case and components. The housing of the D4N–2CRE is made from zinc die-cast and the actuator is made from polypropy. It is also protected with an IP-65 rated dust-tight and water resistance, so that it can be applied in various environments.
The D4N–2CRE limit switch also comes with a range of mounting brackets, so that it can be easily installed in almost any application and environment. All of its parts are easily replaceable, and it is suitable to be used in extreme temperatures. Its operation temperature range is -20℃ to 80℃.
