The DA-60-J2R is a media converter designed for optical multimode to copper applications. It can be used in either a standalone or rack-mountable design, and is compatible with a wide range of existing SFP transceivers, including extended distance models for longer fiber runs.The DA-60-J2R is the ideal solution for network applications where data is transmitted between multiple locations over fiber cable. It eliminates the need for a local switch or router and provides a cost-effective means of distributing data over a greater distance. The device is also well suited for the migration to Gigabit speeds by allowing fiber ports to be upgraded without the need to replace or upgrade existing copper cabling.The DA-60-J2R supports three types of media conversion: copper to fiber, fiber to copper, and fiber to fiber. Its Gigabit copper port has auto-sensing capabilities, so the device automatically detects the speed and type of connection at each port. It supports 10/100/1000MBps half/full-duplex transmission over copper. The device also uses a protocol-independent switching technology which enables seamless communication between different types of media without having to reconfigure the device. The protocol-independent switching technology supports auto-negotiation for 10/100/1000Base-T to 100/1000Base-X conversions and adapts to changes in media type, data rate, and duplex settings.The DA-60-J2R also provides dual red panel LEDs for alarm monitoring and can be managed either locally or remotely. It supports the Telnet and SSH protocols and is SNMP-manageable.
