It has a 0.6” pitch size per character and includes 4 bi-color LED sets (red, yellow, green and blue) giving it a total number of 48 horizontal scan LEDs per character. Additionally, it has 8 shift registers in series and a single row output with pins designed for mounting on PCBs and similar.

After this, there is a shift-register which is a series of 8 bit registers that provide data that is shifted to the output of the display.

Finally, there is the display circuit which is made up of 8 individual bi-color LEDs which are controlled using a pulse width modulation technique according to the decoded data. A single transistor can be used to control the forward current of each LED set and the character color can be changed by adjusting the width of pulse.
