Working Principle of DAC3164IRGCT

In operation, the input digital words are converted into successive switching patterns in the R2R ladder where each switching element adds or remove a voltage proportional to its gain value from the output voltage. To restore linearity to the system, the output is connected back to the input of an adjustable differential amplifier. This amplifier adjusts the difference between the output voltage and the input control voltage until it becomes equal.
