The DAC38RF89IAAV is a data acquisition and digital-to-analog converter. Its primary use is to convert digital data into analog signals which can be used to drive and control devices from motors, speakers, or other devices. The DAC38RF89IAAV offers high-accuracy performance with a wide temperature range and low power consumption.The DAC38RF89IAAV is available in three packages. The MDIP-SQ12, MLPD-SQ12 and DIP-SQ12 packages each offer a differing number of pins for connection and mounting, with the MDIP-SQ12 package providing the greatest number of pins and the DIP-SQ12 providing the fewest. All packages provide a 0.6” x 0.6” (15.2mm x 15.2mm) substrate area, and all feature 16-bit resolution. The DAC38RF89IAAV is able to process a wide range of analog signals, including DC through to audio frequencies. The DAC38RF89IAAV supports a wide temperature range of up to -40°C to +125°C and a wide supply voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V, making it suitable for industrial and consumer applications.At the core of the DAC38RF89IAAV lies patent-pending Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) technology. This technology utilizes direct digital accommodation to achieve higher dynamic range without the use of digital-to-analog (D/A) converters. The DDS technology prevents digital clock frequencies from impacting the analog performance of the DAC, allowing for improved performance over other devices in the same class. The DAC38RF89IAAV also uses an asynchronous architecture to significantly reduce power consumption and improve performance. This architecture is able to balance gain and phase margins for superior output response, allowing for fast settling time and better resolution. In addition to these features, the DAC38RF89IAAV includes integrated Anti-Glitch™ circuitry which helps ensure accurate output signals. This circuitry prevents output glitches due to power-up and power-down conditions, ensuring that the device will always start up and shut down safely and reliably.The DAC38RF89IAAV is well suited for a wide range of applications. It can be used in industrial automation and process control, analog circuits and systems, robotics, motor and actuator control, audio and video systems, medical equipment, and a variety of consumer electronics.
