The DAC5681IRGC25 is a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) which is used in many system designs to convert digital signals into analog signals in order to boost the system performance.DACs are necessary in many systems to achieve desired accuracy in system operations and to extend the processing functionalities. The DAC5681IRGC25 is designed specifically for applications that require precision analog output. It is an ideal choice for designs that require higher resolution for sensor measurements, power control, motor control and voice processing.The DAC5681IRGC25 is powered by a 5.5V to 24V DC supply and is capable of providing a resolution of up to 16-bit. It is able to maintain 0.0005% (2 ppm) accuracy from -40 ºC to +85 ºC. Two separate DAC registers are included for simultaneous programming for resolution and accuracy which are also user-adjustable.The DAC5681IRGC25 uses R/2R ladder architecture for its digital-to-analog conversion process. This uses an array of resistors of 2R and R values which are arranged in a series of arms. Digital information is sent to the R/2R ladder through a series of gates that receive bits from source registers. As the R/2R ladder increases with the number of bits, the resolution also increases.The R/2R ladder works by creating a voltage ramp between two specific reference values. A large number of voltage steps exist between these two references and these vary depending on the number of bits in the data word used. The DAC5681IRGC25 performs a differential output using a true 8-bit current DAC and an offset code DAC to output 14-bit resolution.The DAC5681IRGC25 has a maximum output current of 800mA and a slew rate of 450nA/V. This ensures a robust performance and it is able to provide the desired accuracy for a variety of applications. It has very fast transient response, low power consumption of 7mW and high-temperature stability of 0.0005%. It has low-cost integrated resistor networks and is easy to use.The DAC5681IRGC25 Digital to Analog Converter is ideal for applications that require high resolution and accuracy due to its high performance and efficiency.
