DAC8162SDGSR (Digital to Analog Converters) are used in a wide variety of applications, including medical systems, industrial automation, automotive electronics and military/aerospace systems. DAC8162SDGSR is a low-cost, low-power, 16-bit resolution digital-to-analog converter. It operates from single +5 V supply and is designed to provide an extremely low output settling time of 52 µs. The DAC also features a wide operating range up to 1.75 Mbps and a fast acquisition time of 55 µs.

As the digital input signal changes, the configuration of the resistor-ring is changed accordingly, thus generating a corresponding analog output voltage. The analog output voltage from the DAC is then sent to an amplifier, where the signal is amplified and sent to the required destination.
