DC1133A-B

The DC1133A-B is an evaluation board that functions as an analog to digital converter (ADC). This board is a powerful and easy-to-use tools for converting analog signals to digital signals. It is commonly used in applications such as digital audio and video processing, aerospace and defense, automotive, medical, and consumer electronics.

The board is powered by an Analog Devices ADuCM3029, digitally enhanced sensor with ultra-low power microcontroller. The ADuCM3029 provides a built-in mixed-mode analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with high resolution that can convert up to 16-bit resolution with up to 18 samples per second. This on-board ADC is ideal for providing very precise data as input for digital logic control and post-processing.

The DC1133A-B evaluation board also includes a variety of built-in peripherals such as GPIO, I2C, SPI, and UART communications. These peripherals allow for additional flexibility in applications, such as in data acquisition and processing, automation systems, precision measurements, and communicating with other digital devices.

The board contains on-board signal conditioners such as a 12-bit, 10-MSPS Analog Devices AD9434 ‘Zero Drift’ amplifier which provides a high measurement throughput with almost no offset error. These signal conditioners and the on-board ADC facilitates the conversion of extremely low-level analog signals into a format that can be easily processed using the controller’s powerful 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 processor.

The board also includes other components such as on-board voltage and current amplification for use in combination with the ADC. This allows for the adjustment of the input level for the ADC to effectively increase the dynamic range of the board. These features make the DC1133A-B well-suited to applications such as scientific instrumentation and industrial measurements where a larger dynamic range is required.

In addition, the board also includes an on-board debugger and programmer, allowing for easy debugging and programming of the board. The board is programmed via USB using the PSoC Programmer software, which provides a simple graphical interface to quickly create and debug applications. The DC1133A-B’s versatile design and set of features makes it an ideal solution for a wide range of analog-to-digital conversion tasks.
