It has a 15-pin male (plug) and a 15-pin female (receptacle) configuration. The contact system has an isolated shell-to-crimp strain relief, which offers protection against cables, pulls, and other external forces that may damage the mating of the connector. DC115339-23 is designed to host a cable assembly with a 0.078 inch (.2 mm) to 0.25 inch (6.4 mm) diameter.
