DC1261A is an evaluation board designed by DC/DC and AC/DC (off-line) SMPS. It is suitable for laboratory applications where its performance, as well as the capability to evaluate the various SMPS design and topologies, can be tested.The DC1261A evaluation board can be used for many different applications. It is ideal for laboratory studies in topics such as power supply design, optimization and testing, power electronics, digital control engineering and motor applications. It can also be used as a complementary board for teaching and learning purposes, especially in applications such as power electronics and control engineering.This evaluation board has a wide range of working principle, specifically, it employs pulsed power supply control, switch-mode power supplies, digital pulse width modulation, linear voltage regulators and analog feedback. The DC1261A evaluation board uses the 50010-C1 microcontroller to create the respective digital processes in terms of the pulse width, output frequency and control parameters. This controller enables the board to reduce power losses in the power components, and save cost and energy.The DC1261A evaluation board has multiple features that aid in the digital control process. It has eight digital input lines, five analog input lines, five output channels, digital timers, pulse output and two serial communication buses. Furthermore, the board also has an LCD display and two high speed oscilloscope inputs to allow for accurate monitoring and evaluation of the power supply’s performance.The DC1261A evaluation board is designed to be connected either directly to an AC power mains, or to a DC power supply for experimentation purposes. The AC mains connection allows for a dual output power supply, and the DC supply connection can be used for the testing of multiple output powers.
