Introduction
DC1563A-A is an Evaluation Board which features full analog-to-digital converter functionality for signal and control applications. It includes an initial signal conditioning circuit as well as a 12-bit, 200-Megasample/second ADC. The ADC has a wide range of operating modes with speed options that make it ideal for many different signal acquisition scenarios. The unique features of the DC1563A-A board make it well suited for both signal and control applications.Application Field
The DC1563A-A evaluation board is designed for a wide range of analog-to-digital converter applications. The DC1563A-A Evaluation board utilizes a 12-bit, 200-Megasamples/secon, analog-to-digital converter which is capable of operating in four different modes. The ADC makes use of two different sample and hold techniques. The first mode, direct acquisition, is the fastest of the four modes and allows for immediate signal conversion from the input channels. The second mode, measurement, is optimized for low-noise applications. The third mode, system, is optimized for multichannel and high throughput applications. Finally, the fourth mode, low power, is designed for systems that require higher resolution than is possible with the direct acquisition mode, but do not require the high throughput of the measurement and system modes.The onboard signal conditioning circuitry of the board consists of up to four adjustable high-gain amplifiers, as well as digital waveform generators and programmable control logic. This allows for the evaluation of multiple signals simultaneously with up to 12-bit resolution over 16 GPIO pins.
