The DC2405A is an evaluation and demonstration board from Texas Instruments for use with their high-speed analog-to-digital converter (ADC) components. Designed for use with the ADC121C021, ADC121C021Q, and/or ADS1220, the DC2405A is used to evaluate analog performance of these components. Featuring a display with an adjustable contrast level, the DC2405A is also used as a demonstration platform for analog-to-digital conversion performance.

The DC2405A application field is focused around the analog-to-digital conversion performance of these components. The ADC121C021 is a precision sigma-delta ADC with a resolution of 12 bits (resolution), a full-scale output range of 6.77V (VFS) and an input range of 0V to VFS, and the ADS1220 is a 16-bit sigma-delta ADC (ADC) with an input range of 2V to 4V. Other features of the DC2405A include a built-in 4-channel instrument control unit, two high-speed 9-pin serial channels, two low-speed serial ports, and a variety of 8-bit digital inputs and outputs. The DC2405A also contains a two-page setup guide, a set of demonstration program controls, and a Windows-based user interface. Finally, the DC2405A includes a number of external control interfaces, such as a 1V, 2V, and 4V input scaling facility.
