DC2432B-B is an evaluation and demonstration board that features peripherals and bandwidth for an audio system. This board has a hardware design and accompanying software that can be used as a reference design and training platform to develop audio systems.The board is equipped with a Cortex-M0 processor and an embedded DSP to support audio-related applications. The board includes many peripherals including stereo analog and digital output, digital microphone inputs, audio codec, USB, Ethernet, LED, switches, potentiometer, accelerometers and IO expanders. This is enabled by a 32-bit processor with DMA and 5-channels of 16-bit ADCs and DACs, as well as a highly-integrated system with power management.The DC2432B-B board has been designed to be able to easily connect to existing hardware and provide a complete reference design for evaluating and developing audio systems. It has a total of 7 user interfaces, including 3 analog outputs, 2 digital outputs, 2 digital microphones, 2 analog input and 1 digital input. The board uses the Cortex-M0 processor as the main processor for the system, enabling the users to program the DSP with their own algorithms and to control other peripherals such as the audio codec.The Cortex-M0 processor acts as the main processor for the system, this microcontroller includes up to 256Kbytes of embedded flash and 16Kbytes of data RAM. The processor can operate at speeds up to 75MHz and is connected to the 8-bit general-purpose input/output ports GPI and GPO, which can be used for switches, buttons, sensors, transceivers, communication, or power supply out ports.In addition to the Cortex-M0 processor, the board contains a Texas Instruments Digital Signal Processor (DSP) with C6000 architecture. This DSP core is highly optimized for audio data processing, with functions such as resampling, mixing, noise reduction, equalization and dynamic range control. This core can be used to run algorithms on the audio data and can be used as a floating point coprocessor.The board also includes multiple types of memory for storage and audio data buffering. These include 4K x 16bit SRAM and 64Kbytes of embedded flash data memory, as well as an external SPI FLASH memory and a microSD slot for larger amounts of data execution. The board also has a dedicated power supply output, which can be used for external components or sensors.The DC2432B-B board also includes a USB port, allowing it to be connected to a computer for programming, debugging, and communication. Many of the other pins on the board are available for external connections, so the user can connect to external hardware such as an external microphone for audio capture or potentiometer for manual control.Overall, the DC2432B-B is an excellent evaluation and demonstration board for audio processing applications that provides a complete solution for audio processing.
