The DC2494A from Linear Technology is a high performance evaluation board designed to allow for ease of use and flexibility when evaluating and developing with the DC2494A DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS. This board provides an isolated 2.25A/75W output from a universal input of 85-265VAC. All control functions and components are mounted components rated to 300V. The power rating of the DC2494A can be increased to 150W with slight modification.

The DC2494A board includes an isolated full bridge rectifier, a three-terminal adjustable output regulator with over current and over temperature protection, an on-board isolated DC/DC converter, an on-board FET switch, an adjustable shutdown threshold, status LEDs, and analog and digital control options. The output voltage is also adjustable from 0V to its maximum output voltage of 28V.
