DC664A is a Evaluation Boards - DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS designed to evaluate the performance of Quasi-resonant PWM Flyback Controllers. It is a high power density, single output, off-line flyback converter with all the necessary components on the board. The product is developed by Murata Corporation and offers a wide range of power conversion efficiency, from high-efficiency for AC-DC applications to low-power for DC-DC applications.

DC664A application field includes power distribution of constant voltage and constant current with ON/OFF working, such as DC-DC converter of mobile phones and dedicated computers, AC-DC adapter of digital devices, etc. DC664A’s operating voltage range is between 3.3V and 28V, and the output range is from 5 to 25W.

The working principle of DC664A is based on the isolated quasi-resonant topology. It efficiently converts alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). It uses two transistors to make the conversion possible and also provides a constant output voltage even if the input voltage varies.
