DC774A is a highly versatile off line evaluation board for DC/DC and AC/DC switching power supplies. It is designed in a modular fashion to allow flexibility of design and expandability of application. As such, it serves as an ideal board for evaluation of power conversion techniques and semiconductor products.

The DC774A is designed using a wide range of components to allow maximum flexibility and versatility to meet multiple power conversion requirements. The board provides both a DC/DC circuit and an AC/DC circuit, allowing users to easily evaluate the performance of various switching power supplies. Its modular design allows it to be used in a wide variety of applications including light load dc/dc converters, voltage regulation, LED driver power supply, off-line AC/DC converters, motor drives, etc.

The DC774A features a DC/DC converter, which converts a low-voltage, high-current input supply into an adjustable output voltage with a maximum current capability of up to 5amps. It also features an AC/DC converter which converts an unregulated or sine wave input voltage into an adjustable output voltage ranging from 0V to 35V and up to 1A of current. The board also features a number of control and protection functions including over-current protection, over-voltage protection, and over-temperature protection. Furthermore, the board offers options for current sharing, latched output short circuit protection, and run-time current limit.

The DC774A works on the principle of using an inductor in the input stage of the power converter to store energy. This energy is then transferred to capacitors in the output stage for conversion to the desired voltage and current. After energy transfer, feedback network of the converter is used to regulate the output voltage.
