DC780B evaluation board is commonly used for DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS applications. This evaluation board is designed to provide an inexpensive, reliable, power efficient, flexible, and thermal resistant solution for many industrial and commercial applications.It contains two phase buck topology for DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS applications. The DC780B evaluation board provides the switches, regulators, inductor, capacitor, transformers, etc., needed for typical switching power supplies. It comes with an adjustable overvoltage protection of up to 40V.The DC780B evaluation board features an adjustable output voltage of up to 40V, a frequency range of 50kHz to 3MHz, adjustable duty cycle from 10% to 90%, adjustable current limit of up to 5A, and temperature protection range of -40°C to 120°C.The main purpose of the DC780B evaluation board is to provide a platform for testing and evaluation of SMPS designs. It is ideal for prototyping, product development, and testing of SMPS designs.In terms of design, the main element of the DC780B evaluation board is a low voltage control loop optimized to minimize noise and distortion. The board includes a reference voltage, a comparator, and a potentiometer, as well as two PWM controllers, one for each part of the power stage.At the same time, the DC780B evaluation board also supports a number of different control and feedback components such as current monitoring, voltage sensing, etc., enabling the user to easily adjust the system for maximum performance.In terms of working principle, the DC780B evaluation board can be used to control either the buck or buck-boost topology.
