DE509041 is a D-Sub backshell and hood assembly designed for use with 9-position male (plug) right-angle D-connectors. This DE509041 backshell is a combination of a hood and backshell, and provides strain relief, EMI shielding, and cable flex relief when mated with a corresponding 9-position D-connector. The DE509041 housing consists of two separate pieces that screw together with a knurled flange that provides additional strain relief. It is made of high-impact plastic to increase strain relief and also offers a grounding finger with a 0.022" (0.559mm) diameter hole for grounding a cable. The straight cable exit allows for quick installation of cables.
