DF2005ST-G bridge rectifiers are two-terminal and four-terminal solid-state devices that are used to provide isolation in power systems and to direct current flow in one direction, while preventing reverse current flow. The four-terminal rectifiers usually provide more protection than the two-terminal types. Working Principle

DF2005ST-G bridge rectifiers are made up of four or more diodes, bonded together in such a way that they form a closed loop that only allows current to flow in one direction. When an AC power signal is applied to the bridge rectifier, the two opposite diode pairs are alternately conducting, and the voltage across the load is equal to the peak voltage of the AC signal minus two diode drops in the bridge. This means that the only DC output of the bridge rectifier is a pulsed signal, which is then smoothed by a capacitor in order to achieve a steady DC output.

The major advantages of DF2005ST-G bridge rectifiers compared to traditional rectifier designs is that they are more efficient, generate relatively low levels of electromagnetic interference and can safely handle high voltages and power levels.
