DF57H utilizes a unique Multi-bite connector technology to ensure secure engagement. Upon insertion of the header into the mating socket, eight 40 degree chamfers bite into the insulator surface creating a positive locking effect. This ensures secure, high density, high current connections.The contacts themselves are silver plated copper alloy and are rated for 7.5A. They are securely held in place within the header shell via a metal retainer which is interconnected by a minimum of two retaining tabs within the header. This ensures stable contact retention and secure current paths, even in the most demanding environments.
