DG103350 Working Principle

The DG103350 uses the working principle of NTC thermistors. Any NTC thermistor consists of a ceramic material that has been mixed with a metal oxide. It is designed such that the temperature-dependent properties of the material and the metal oxide combines together to change the resistance of the thermistor with temperature variation. When the temperature of the thermistor increases, the resistance of the thermistor decreases according to the NTC principle. The resistance of the thermistor can be measured by using a fixed voltage source. The output voltage is directly proportional to the temperature of the thermistor.
