DGS35-3L404096 Application Field and Working Principle
Encoders are useful in a wide variety of applications, such as motion control, speed and/or position detection, and other types of automation. The DGS35-3L404096 encoder isdesigned for absolute electronic rotary position measurement and is capable of providing position feedback in the range of 0 to 4096 counts per revolution (CPR).The encoder is designed utilizing latest technology to provide high accuracy and reliability with robust construction and ease of installation.The characteristic features of the encoder are its compact size, broad temperature range and rovability, and consistent performance. Additionally, the DGS35-3L404096 provides a specialized housing which is designed to reduce dust, splash, and contamination that can accumulate in other designs, as well as providing robust protection from EMI/RFI transmissions.
The DGS35-3L404096 encoder is based on a contactless magnetic read head that includes a structured magnetic disk (rotor), user adjustable trip-point magnets (targets) and a solid state Hall effect sensor.The principles of operation rely on the varying orthogonal field strength generated by the multiple pole ring magnets (rotor) as it is rotated by the motor shaft. The Hall effect sensor will detect the field changes and change its state providing digital outputs in proportion to the incremental position of the rotor. There are two outputs from the encoder when rotating through 360°, each set of targets will provide a two-bit coded digital signal.These signals are in phase with each other and indicate the position of the shaft when it passes the encoded strip.
The DGS35-3L404096 encoder is mainly used in a variety of motion control and automation applications, such as Stage lighting control system, Industrial loops, Sensor based automation, Robotics, Automotive and aerospace testing and advanced motor control.The encoder can also be used for precision speed and/or position detection measurement in motor applications where high accuracy is needed.Due to its superior design and robust construction the DGS35-3L404096 encoder is ideally suited for automation and motion control applications in extreme environmental conditions.
