DKAPX4 is a RF evaluation and development board designed for assessing performance of wideband RF, microwave, and mm-Wave circuits and components. This kit features excellent low noise, low distortion operation, and wide dynamic range across the frequency band from 1 MHz to 18 GHz. With its wide spectrum frequency range and stable RF environment, DKAPX4 is suitable for testing multiplexing, coding, and other complex wireless systems.
The DKAPX4 includes an integrated 3-port RF bridge for capturing the I/Q signals present at the mixer output, and it supports track-and-hold and discontinuous operation modes. It also has a low-noise amplifier (LNA) circuit with excellent noise parameters, and the noise figure is as low as 3.6 dB over the frequency range from 1 MHz to 18 GHz. Furthermore, the board is equipped with a linear magnetic field sensor, allowing users to quickly identify the levels of ambient or self-produced magnetic noise.
DKAPX4 makes use of a stabilized power source to ensure low harmonic distortion. To secure the signal integrity, the board employs a shielding technique to minimize crosstalk. A high level of linearity can be attained with the use of RF couplers and low-pass filters included in the circuit. The DKAPX4 is powered by a 5 V supply and requires only a single 3.3 V bias voltage.
The DKAPX4 can be used for a variety of applications from testing mixers as part of a radar receiver chain, to evaluating new components and algorithms. It is particularly well suited for evaluating RF receiver architectures and making accurate measurements of the error vector magnitude (EVM) of an RF transmitter. Additionally, the board can be used for optimizing performance of voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), power amplifiers (PAs), and up-converters.
DKAPX4 is a powerful and flexible tool for performing RF design and manufacture.
