The NMOS is used to control the load, either turning it on or off. When the input signal triggers the control unit, the NMOS is activated and the associated load is switched on. The PMOS is kept constantly on, which allows for a constant output voltage whiles reducing power consumption. Depending on the setting of the switch, the system can either switch on or off individual channels or perform a sequencing of events (for example, from low to high voltage).DM53745-16 also allows for a dead time setting, which is responsible for setting the off time between the two PMOS channels. It is an optional feature that should be used with caution, in order to avoid any miscommunication between the connected elements.The DM53745-16 is also ideal for DC motor and lighting control as well as temperature control. It can be used to regulate the airflow of air conditioning and HVAC systems, and can also be used to switch on fans or pumps as needed.
