When there is an error, the B3 pin provides an error signal.The DM74AS280M has an extremely low power dissipation of only 1.3 mW/MHz and operates down to 1.5V. The operating temperature range of the device is between 0 °C to 70 °C.Apart from single bit parity checking and correction, the DM74AS280M can also be used to detect and correct multi-bit errors using a CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check).
