Working Principle
The DOC102F-020.0M Oscillator is based on vibrating quartz, which acts as an automatic frequency compensator, and is capable of driving transistors, capacitors, and inductors to work together.When a voltage is coupled to the quartz crystal, it makes it vibrate and produce a resonating sound. This sonic energy produces a current and a voltage that fluctuates with the frequency of the quartz crystal - which is determined by the size and shape of the piezoelectric element.The capacitor and inductor in the circuit function together to add up the high-frequency voltages, which triggers the timer, causing an oscillation to begin. The frequency of the oscillation is determined by the crystal, and the amplitude of the oscillation is determined by the resistor.This frequency acts as a timing signal for a microcontroller or other type of digital circuit, and the square wave produced by the Oscillator is used as the data input.The Piezoelectric principle of the quartz crystal creates a vibration that results in an oscillating current – and thus, within the Oscillator, a vibration of a certain predefined frequency.
