DP03A2450TTR/500 is an RF diplexer, which comprises a pair of high-frequency filters and can be used to switch between a single antenna and two different radio transmitters. In this way, DP03A2450TTR/500 enables the broadcast of receiving and transmitting signals through different parts of the spectrum simultaneously. The RF diplexer DP03A2450TTR/500 mainly applies in the situation that two different radio transmitters require one single antenna. The working principle of DP03A2450TTR/500 is based on Frequency Division Multiplexing (FDM), which could be looked up as the following:“Frequency Division Multiplexing is an electronic coding technique used for transmission of multiple analog or digital signals over a single channel by taking advantage of the fact that the information carried in a signal is largely contained in its frequency range.” [1] In brief, FDM refers to distribute signals to separate frequency slots within a signal. DP03A2450TTR/500 utilizes the FDM technique, and allows transmitting diverse signals with adjacent frequencies simultaneously without interference. The two parts of the signal are split up by the high-frequency filters. The filters can be easily tuned by changing the cable parameters. For example, in a communication system, one transmitter carries between 50MHz to 51.25MHz frequency and the other transmitter sends out signal between 51.25MHz to 52.50MHz. Then the frequency divider passes the frequency between 50MHz to 52.50MHz to the single antenna, and allocates the adjacent frequencies of 51.25MHz to the two radio transmitters respectively. Apart from the FDM technique, high-frequency filters are essential parts of the DP03A2450TTR/500. Since high frequency signals have a certain degree of complex waveforms, which cannot be cut off easily at the desired frequency, a filter is needed to separate the signal. Filters basically work as per the following:“An RF filter is typically used to separate a signal at a specific frequency, or group of related frequencies. When RF signals exist at frequencies outside of the desired range, the use of a filter is necessary. The filter is used to filter out the undesired signals before they can reach the receiver.” [2] Hence, the filters in DP03A2450TTR/500 are configured to allow signals of the required frequency pass through but stop other frequencies. When two transmitters require the same antenna, the DP03A2450TTR/500 RF diplexer is a nice solution to increase the network capacity and prevent interference. In conclusion, the RF diplexer DP03A2450TTR/500 is applicable in situations that two different radio transmitters requires one single antenna. It works by the principle of FDM and uses high-frequency filters to permit signals of the required frequency pass through and reject those of undesired frequency. DP03A2450TTR/500 is thus utilized to transmit multiple signals simultaneously and increase the communication network capacity.
