Working Principle of DRD3W-O250

DRD3W-O250 is a budget-friendly non-isolated buck LED driver featuring the latest active-PFC technology, together with near silent and airflow optimization feature. It consists of rectifier, APFC stage, active power factor correction stage, PWM output stage and dimming stage. In terms of heat dissipation, DRD3W-O250 is maximum efficiency and integrated active heat cooling system, making it compact yet robust.

When AC power is connected, the rectifier at first convert AC power into DC power and pass it to the active power factor correction stage. At this moment the active PFC stage can correct the current and voltage waveform of the power, making the power factor of this LED driver reach to more than 0.9 and boosts the total efficiency of the driver. The DC output will pass to PWC controller, where it will be regulated according to the PWM feedback circuits.
