The DRV3201EVM application field and working principle is an evaluating and demonstrating board and kit which has been designed by Texas Instruments Incorporated and is used to evaluate the DRV3201 full-bridged gate driver. The evaluation board allows users to evaluate the features and performance of the DRV3201-Q1 device. It also includes a full-bridged gate driver demo circuit with N-Channel low side and N-Channel high side MOSFETs.The DRV3201EVM board is primarily used for low-side and high-side drives of DC motor applications. The evaluation board includes a PMIC power circuit, isolated gate drive circuitry, as well as two half-bridge driver circuits. The half-bridge driver can be used to drive DC motor applications. The full-bridge driver enables a higher power output for driving brushless DC, stepper motors, and other applications with higher demand outputs. The evaluation board’s main goal is to evaluate the features of the DRV3201-Q1 driver and ensure it meets all application requirements.The DRV3201EVM evaluation board has two power sources that can be switched on and off. The first power source is the 12V DC/DC converter, and the second is a USB connection. The USB connection can be used as a power source for the DRV3201-Q1 driver. The DRV3201-Q1 driver is powered with an adjustable 3V to 5V voltage source supplied from the 12V DC/DC converter, adjustable up to 28V.The DRV3201EVM evaluation board also has five signal indicators and three input terminals which allow the user to control the operation of the DRV3201-Q1 driver. The first is the “EN” terminal, which is used to enable the DRV3201-Q1 driver. The second is the “E” terminal, which is used to set the driver’s electrical parameters, such as turn-on slew rate, turn-off slew rate, and Vref. The third is the “ST” pin, which is the strobe input, and is used to control the output signal’s duration. The fourth is the ENOUT pin, which is used to set output signal levels and enable output static control. The fifth is the “PWRGD” pin, which is used for power-down control of the driver.The DRV3201EVM evaluation board enables users to evaluate the performance of the DRV3201-Q1 driver. It allows users to control the electrical parameters of the driver and provides the flexibility of using two power sources. The board also includes five signal indicators and three input terminals that allow for controlling the operation of the DRV3201-Q1 driver.
