The DS1088LU-02A+W is a robust and feature-packed clock/timing generator. It is a low-jitter, programmable clock signal synthesizer, offering wide range of output formats. Working Principle

DS1088LU-02A+W Clock/Timing Generator works on the principle of frequency synthesis. It is a two-part synthesis circuit comprising of a programmable phase detector-based frequency divider and a digital mixer. This programmable frequency divider is responsible for generating output frequencies lower than the device oscillator frequency, while the digital mixer is used to mix the output frequency with the reference frequency.

The frequency generator includes a Programmable Phase Detector (PPD) which is a circuit that converts the input clock signals into a continuous, variable frequency output.
