It is the best choice for 1.2V to 3.3V operation, giving designers greater flexibility when designing in a wide range of power rail configurations.The DS1089LU-450+ offers many features to increase design flexibility. It can generate up to 8 clock outputs and can be programmed to one of 8 different output frequencies. It can be programmed by the user using I2C or SPI interface, patch SPICE models, divide-by-0 or 1, and skew polarity configuration, to name a few. It also has a built-in programmable PLL, which allows for easy adjustment of reference frequency and clock phase drift.The DS1089LU-450+ features a wide range of output frequencies, from 1MHz to 450MHz, enabling the generation of high-speed clocks and multiple clock dividers for system timing. The programmability of the generation enables a single device to be used for a variety of different applications, eliminating the need to use multiple clock chips. Furthermore, the device is capable of operating in a low-power mode; with a frequency output of ten times slower than that of a normal operating mode, it can be used in applications where power savings is of utmost importance. The DS1089LU-450+ uses a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) to control the frequency of the output clock. The VCO is controlled by a phase-locked loop (PLL) circuit, which utilizes feedback from the output clocks to maintain synchronization. This allows the PLL to adjust the output frequency, depending on the reference clock frequency, by changing the phase and/or frequency of the output clocks.
