The DS24L65P+ is a 64kB EEPROM device integrated with additional features to reduce overall application complexity and cost. In addition to the Industry Standard Serial Link, the DS24L65P+ offers several communication interfaces and an Overdrive mode which allow direct connection to popular I/O buses such as SPI, I2C and MICROWIRE. Additionally, the DS24L65P+ offers Watchdog Timer and 2-Wire Serial Interface mechanisms for monitoring the integrity of a communication interface.
Memory
The DS24L65P+ is a 64kB nonvolatile memory that functions as a reliable data storage device. The device stores up to 64kB (65536 bytes) of information. All the information written to the memory is permanently stored even when power is lost. The device operates with an operating voltage of 2.5-5.5V and a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C without compromising performance.
The memory is organized into pages, each page containing 64 bytes. To read or write values, the master must select the page containing the data to be accessed. The device supports byte, page and sequential read and write operations.
