The DS26518G+ is a high-performance, low-power, full-rate cascadable IC consisting of differential and unterminated drivers, receivers and transceivers. It is primarily used for transmitting data and providing interface functionality between digital systems and peripheral devices in various applications. The DS26518G+ also provides system power distribution to several downstream systems.

The DS26518G+ drivers are rated for full-rate speeds of 55 MHz and can support up to 6.4 channels for a maximum of up to 75 Mbps. These drivers are capable of driving and receiving differential signals over a wide range of impedances. They achieve high speed transmission and low frequency losses by utilizing advanced Signal Reconstruction Features.

The receivers within the DS26518G+ provide good noise immunity of greater than 56% and low current consumption due to the high input impedance. These receivers are designed to receive and reconstruct signals at up to 55 MHz over a wide range of impedances. The incorporation of on-chip inputs and outputs keeps signal reflections to a minimum thereby reducing EMI/RFI interference within the system.
