DS75176BMX/NOPB is an integrated two-line differential transceiver designed specifically for applications requiring both differential signaling and ESD protection. It is designed to accommodate data over ground and power system loops up to 250m (820 ft.) in length. Further, it provides high data rate performance over longer lines that are subject to noise, reflection, and transmission losses.The most common application field of the DS75176BMX/NOPB is in communications and networking applications, such as ControlNet, Ethernet, and Synchronous Optical Network (SONET). It can also be used in industrial automation and medical control systems, as well as in Power Line Carrier, Digital Signal Processing, and Instrumentation Control systems.The working principle of the DS75176BMX/NOPB is relatively simple, although it is still very efficient. It consists of two main components: a differential driver and differential receiver. The driver takes in a single differential input and converts it into a differential pair that can be transmitted over the twisted pair cable. The differential receiver takes the pair of differential signals sent over the cable and converts it back into a single differential input.The differential driver and receiver are both powered by a 5V power supply, and each of them has single-ended inputs and outputs. The driver circuit consists of two symmetric gain stages: one for the differential input signals and one for the differential output signals. The difference between the two gain stages determines the swing of the differential output signal, which can be set to maximum of 5V on the falling edge and minimum of 0V on the rising edge. The receiver circuit has a signal transfer ratio of 25 and a common-mode rejection ratio of 64.The signal transfer ratio determines the amount of signal that is transferred from the input to the output. The signal transfer ratio of the DS75176BMX/NOPB is greater than the common-mode rejection ratio, thus ensuring a low noise signal and providing high speed transmission.The DS75176BMX/NOPB is an Integrated two-line differential transceiver designed specifically for applications requiring both differential signaling and ESD protection.
