The serial input is used to accept the data which is transmitted from the transmitter section and performs an 8/10/12/14/18/20/24 bit nibble/byte synchronization. The receiver section also has programmable features such as equalizer, de-emphasis and pre-emphasis. The equalizer is used to compensate for the ISI (inter-symbol interference) caused by a varying channel and recovers the data accurately. The parallel data output is used to send the recovered data to the destination.</p><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;">The DS90LV018ATMX is suitable for a variety of applications such as audio and video equipment, consumer digital interface products, and high-speed point-to-point links.
