The DS90LV019TM is an integrated 1-channel FPD (Flat Panel Display) link transmitter designed to support digital flat panel display buses compliant with the VESA® Display Stream Compression standard. This 1-channel bus interface device delivers a maximum data rate of 6.4 Gbps allowing an image resolution of 1280 x 800 at 24 Bits-per-pixel (BPP) or 2560 x 1600 at 18 BPP.The DS90LV019TM supports link clock detection and clock recovery and is capable of recovering a clock from an incoming stream without the need for an external PLL. For applications requiring higher data rates, the device integrates two PCIe® x4 lanes for communication with a single or multiple-channel FPD Link Transmitter. The two PCIe lanes can be configured in either standard or low-voltage (1.2V) mode, allowing for maximum flexibility. The device also provides configurable output drive and termination strength as well as transmit pre-emphasis and multi-channel synchronization support.The DS90LV019TM is designed with several industry-standard interface protocols that provide a high degree of compatibility with existing digital flat panel displays. The device supports FPD-Link with SSC (Spread-Spectrum Clocking) and can be configured to provide up to 6.3 Gbps of data transfer rate. It also supports 4-Lane LVDS (Low-Voltage Differential Signaling) with up to 3.2 Gbps of data transfer rate.The DS90LV019TM also supports Split-Link mode with two or four independent FPD Link channels. In Split-Link mode, the device can provide up to 6.3 Gbps data transfer rate with up to two independent FPD Link channels or up to 3.2 Gbps data transfer rate with up to four independent FPD Link channels. The device also provides FPD LINK Emulation Mode which allows the device to emulate traditional FPD Link signals.In these applications, the device acts as a master link and controls the data transfer rate of each device in the system. The device\'s programmable PLL allows for the system to operate at the highest possible data rate with the lowest possible power consumption.The working principle of the device is based on the fact that Flux-Link receives signals from digital panels and translates them into electrical signals for a controller or processor to interpret. These signals are transmitted over standard FPD Link channels and contain both pixel data and control information. Each link channel supports up to 6.4 Gbps of data transmission rate, allowing for high resolution digital displays. The DS90LV019TM includes two PCIe x4 lanes for transferring data from the panel to the processor, one for receiving and one for transmitting. The device supports both clock detection and recovery, allowing it to automatically detect and recover the incoming clock frequency on the link.The DS90LV019TM is suitable for use in a wide variety of applications, including interactive displays, digital video walls, interactive kiosks, LED video walls, and medical monitors. It can be used in a wide range of FPD LINK applications that require high-speed, low-power operation.
