Working Principle: DS90UB926QSQX/NOPB is a Quad Receive Line/Multi-Protocol Serializer and Deserializer (QRX/MPSD) device, an integrated solution that supports up to four high-speed lanes, each lane capable of running at up to 3.125Gbps. It provides the complete interface between FPD-Link III and CANBus and is designed to simplify the parallel bus-to-serial interface implementation. The device features four receiver lane ports, which can be configured to support various interface standards. The device select inputs allow the device to be optimized for specific applications; the user can select either all four lanes to be receive-only, or two lanes to be receive/transmit configuration, with the other two lanes receiving-only. The device also supports multiple bus protocol configurations, including LVDS, Universal LVDS, Reduced-Swing LVDS, and I2C/I/O protocol. For transmit, the DS90UB926QSQX/NOPB supports LVDS with an additional selectable DMUX_LVDS mode that can be used when the serializer is driving an LVDS display such as AMLCD or UHD LCD. The serializer is protected from faults and errors through two sets of the auto-restart functionality and supports several configurable line protection. The first set of auto-restart functionality is for transmit lanes and the second set is for receive lanes. The line protection configurable feature prevents accidental burst distribution, which can cause a degradation in signal integrity or power-on reset corruption. The device also supports hot plugging and several options for power savings, such as Link Power and Pin Wake-Up detection. Pin wake-up detection allows the device to enter low power mode when no signal is present. The device also features an integrated PLL that can be used in Slave mode and an integrated MOV to provide ESD protection.
