Working Principle

Broadly speaking, the DX0506/YL/24 works by sending an input current via a conductive device connected to its rear panel. Upon reception of the input current, the indicator light is triggered and will emit a red or green signal depending on the magnitude.

As mentioned earlier, the DX0506/YL/24 is rated for a power level of 24V AC/DC, meaning it is capable of handling both alternating current and direct current. The presence of voltage is detected and relayed through the indicator by the means of a process called electro-suppression. This is whereby the powering current meets certain resistance which allows the indicator to display its illuminated effects.
