     The E-L6910TR is an advanced high-performance DC/DC switching controller designed for Intellignet Power Modules (IPMs). This high-performance device offers a wide range of features and advanced functions, capable of regulating output voltage with +/-0.1% accuracy, providing a wide bandwidth of power regulation and accurate current limit protection. In addition, its adjustable PWM frequency allows greater system efficiency and reduced EMI noise requirements.     The E-L6910TR offers a wide variety of operating modes and protection features. It can be used in single-ended modes, or combined with an external diode-bridge driver to obtain dual output voltages. Overvoltage, undervoltage, input overvoltage, over-current and thermal protection are all available, enabling a wide range of applications.      The E-L6910TR is ideally suited for applications where high power density, wide input/output voltage ranges, low noise and high efficiency are required. It is highly suitable for powering electronic/telecommunication systems such as switches/routers and servers. With its flexibility and multiple operating modes, it can be used to efficiently meet energy efficiency and dynamic tuning requirements within long runtime applications.     The E-L6910TR has three main operating modes. The first is the auto-switching mode, which is the factory default mode on power-up, and can be programmed to switch automatically between two different output voltages, allowing fast response to changes in demand from the load. This mode requires the input voltage to be greater than the output voltage. The second mode is the continuous current mode, which regulates the output voltage based on a voltage reference, and is designed for applications where the input voltage is greater than the output voltage. The third is the fixed frequency mode, which locks the PWM frequency at a predetermined frequency, enabling higher efficiency and better noise immunity in applications where the input voltage is less than the output voltage.      The E-L6910TR has a wide range of features, making it a versatile and powerful DC/DC switching controller. It features 17-bit tracking and current limit accuracy, a 0-5V (3.3V/5V compatible) source/reference voltage, adjustable PWM frequency in auto, CCM and FFM modes, overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, over-current, open/short protection, cycle-by-cycle, thermal shutdown and load-disconnect protection. It also has an internal bootstrap circuit for high side MOSFET drive, allowing for the implementation of SMPS topologies with low cost and reduced parasitic components.      The E-L6910TR also has a wide range of integrated protection functions, allowing for the system to be safely operated at low cost and with a high level of certainty. It includes overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection and cycle-by-cycle limiting, short circuit protection, open/short protection, over-current protection and thermal shutdown. The FFM (fixed frequency mode) features a PWM frequency range up to 500KHz, enabling fast transient response in applications that require it.      In conclusion, the E-L6910TR provides advanced features and functions, allowing for fast response time, high efficiency and accurate current limit protection. It is ideal for applications requiring high power density and wide input/output voltage ranges. With its adjustable PWM frequency and advanced protection features, the E-L6910TR can be used to meet energy efficiency and dynamic tuning requirements in a variety of applications.
