E13-00E snap action, limit switches are a type of electric switch specifically designed for use in environments or applications where materials or conditions may be too difficult for common manual switches. They are made from durable metal and plastic components, which provide durability and reliability for a long lifespan. As their name suggests, E13-00E snap action, limit switches, when activated, as with a manual switch, will cause a sudden, quick-acting action, such as clicking or “popping”, and then return to its original position, or a “snap”.

Snap action, limit switches are used in many types of industrial equipment, including electric pumps, motors, vending machines, and other electrical equipment which require reliable switching operations. In the automotive industry, they are used to switch off gasoline pumps.

E13-00E snap action, limit switches are designed to detect the presence of a specified material or environment in a range that can be selected. Operating in this way, they have become known as non-contact switches as they can detect changes without actually coming in contact with the material or environment being monitored.

They are available in a range of styles and sizes, usually with a spring-loaded plunger or lever, and are configured with the appropriate spring force, defined by a manufacturing process. As the plunger or lever enters a predetermined position (when a maximum or minimum limit has been reached), it triggers the switch. Depending on the type of switch, electrical connection points are made available for external wiring.

The most common type of E13-00E snap action, limit switches are single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switches, however, double-pole, double-throw (DPDT) and high-voltage switches are also available.

The way the switches operate is based on the principle of current-voltage (V/I) interaction. When the switch is closed, current flows between the two contact points, creating an electrical circuit. The force exerted by the spring-loaded actuator pushes the plunger, causing the circuit to open or close.

E13-00E snap action, limit switches are an excellent choice for situations where accurate and reliable switching operations are needed. Their superior construction ensures long-lasting durability and reliability, while their adaptability to various applications makes them a great choice for a wide range of industrial applications.
