Proximity sensors are devices used to detect the presence of an object or person without having any contact with them. Generally, they work by sending a pulse of energy into the air and detecting when it is reflected back. The E2E-X10D1-M1 is an inductive type proximity sensor specially designed for use in industrial automation applications. It is ideal for detecting metal objects in close proximity to the sensor, and can be used for applications such as material handling, high-speed assembly, dust-proof and water-proof sensing.

The E2E-X10D1-M1 is capable of detecting objects up to 10mm in size and can operate in temperatures ranging from -25° C to 70° C. It has a sensing range of 0-10 mm and is capable of detecting objects made of stainless steel, ferrous metal and non-ferrous metals. The E2E-X10D1-M1 features a Short-circuit protection circuit which can be used to prevent malfunction of the sensor due to external short-circuiting.

The E2E-X10D1-M1 is a two-wire, NO (Normally Open) configuration inductive type proximity sensor. It consists of an oscillator, an amplifier circuit, and a detector circuit. When the sensor is powered on, the oscillator generates an alternating oscillating current. This oscillating current is transmitted from the primary coil (sensing coil) into the air. When the sensor detects an object, the oscillation is interrupted, and a voltage drop is generated in the secondary coil (detecting coil). This voltage drop is detected by the amplifier, and it sends a signal to the detector circuit to open the switch and turn the output off.

The E2E-X10D1-M1 is a reliable and cost effective solution for proximity sensing in industrial applications. With a wide operating temperature range, a sensing range of 0-10 mm, and a short-circuit protection circuit, the E2E-X10D1-M1 is the ideal solution for industrial automation applications.
