When a magnetic field interacts with the conductor, a voltage known as the Hall voltage is generated and detected by the module. This change in voltage is interpreted as an object detected by the sensor.
The photoelectric type of sensing technology works by using a light source and a receiver. When an object passes between the two, the light source is blocked which causes an interruption in the signal. This interruption is then interpreted as an object detected by the sensor.
