DC-DC converters can be classified according to the type of conduction mode and control method. E48SC05015NRFA is a DC/DC converter which uses buck switching technology to provide power supplies in a variety of small form-factor, industrial and automotive markets. The E48SC05015NRFA integrates a fixed frequency pulse-width modulation (PWM) voltage-mode controller, two dedicated N-channel MOSFETs, two commutations MOSFETs, integrated high and low-side current sense resistors and an under-voltage lockout (UVLO) circuit. The purpose of this device is to control the output voltage and current of the power supply, and to help maintain its accuracy over its full range of load and temperature conditions.

The main function of the E48SC05015NRFA is to convert an input voltage (Vin) into a regulated output voltage (Vout) within desired specifications.
